The Chamber has now considered your letter
of November 2nd., relative to the proposed Festival of Empire,
1911.
My Committee regrets that it is unable to
prepare an Exhibit, but I am to suggest that the Hongkong
Exhibit at present lodged with the Imperial Institute should be
bodily transferred to the proposed Exhibition,
It is a very comprehensive collection and
well illustrates the industries of this Colony. Its temporary
transfer would probably cost Government very little.
I return the enclosure as requested and am
directed to ask you to thank His Excellency for referring the
matter to the Chamber.
